1. In a bowl, mix the buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. 2. Add chicken pieces to the bowl and coat them evenly in the marinade. 3. Whisk the egg and milk in another bowl. 4. In a separate bowl, mix together flour and baking powder. 5. Dip each marinated chicken piece in the egg mixture and then dredge it in the flour mixture. 6. Heat the oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350F (175C). 7. Carefully fry the chicken pieces for about 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. 8. Remove the chicken and drain on paper towels. 9. Prepare waffles using the waffle batter of your preference. 10. Serve the fried chicken and waffles together.
